This knitted sweater comes from a collection titled Underneath the Shell, inspired by amor from the 15th century to the 19th century. The intricate details of the metals influenced this knitted textures, colors, and silhouettes used in this garment. While also taking inspiration from poetic meanings armor brings, the idea of armor being a shield of protection and strength for the shell of the human body, but what is actually in the interior is delicate and vulnerable. What would a person's armor look and feel like if it lost its purpose? How sensitive can a person become without their shield? Without their shell?
